Garmin Nuvi 760t or Tomtom 720?

I am just about to upgrade from my PDA Navman Mio 168, to one of the above. I ordered a Garmin Nuvi 760t but received the Tomtom 720 in error and after reading the info they seem to be similar. So before I return it, can anybody give me any advice on which is the better option, besides the price difference.

Asking such questions rarely helps, you'll get Garmin users recommending Garmin and vice versa for TomTom.

Try and get a demo of both, Halfords may have them and then see whose menus and actual display you prefer.

I dislike Garmin's user interface and fine the map display too simplified, others like it just because it is simpler. Only you can decide which fits your needs best.
