Hi there,
I'm asking this on behalf of a friend so please bare with me. My friend who lives in Canada has recently purchased a Nuvi370 to use in North America and for a trip to the UK this Summer. The Nuvi has both North American and European maps installed and my friend would like to simulate some routes in the UK whilst he is still in Canada. He cant find anything in the manual about this, can anyone help ?
Thanks in advance

To do a route simulation you normally turn the GPS off, which i believe you achieve by flipping in the antenna.

Then you do your Where To? and find a start location in the normal manner. When you are presented with the Map view you should have an option to Set Location. Selecting that will set your current location to that point. Then you can find a destination point in the normal manner and clicking Go will calculate the route. Then you'll be presented with an option to simulate the route.

It might be a bit vague as i don't have a 3xx in front of me but that's pretty much how it works for the i3 and 7xx. If your friend is familiar with the Nuvi then hopefully that'll mean something to them.

Hope it helps

On the 6xx series it works a little differently. In one of the menus (Navigation, as I recall) there is a setting for Simulation. That needs to be enabled and then un-enabled when you have finished. However, simulation which is at real time speed, is not great. Paul's method will work and you can see the full route by touching an instruction at the top of the screen and then selecting Show Map. You may not get the option to simulate - you don't with the 6xx.
