|

I've got an Australian-spec 720. Less memory than in other countries, no map share, and "spoken dialogue" did not work until the recent round of upgrades. (Oddly the price seems the same as overseas though!)
One of the things that does not work on mine is navigating to a postcode. I just get "city not recognised". Any Australian users having success with this, or is it simply another advertised feature that does not work?

Is there a web site which shows coverage?
This might show you whether these features are supposed to work
I only seem to be able to view a European site, which isn't much use to you _________________ Andy

I don't know what postcodes you have down there, but in Europe, TomTom only offer FULL 7-digit postcode search in the UK and Holland. Apparently, in other countries each code covers a much wider area, so isn't much use for "navigate to..." |

For what it's worth, here in Canada, our postal codes are of the format: LNL NLN. However, using the pc search, we can only enter the first 3 characters and then we have to use the scroll bar.... |

Australian postcodes are 4 digit. As in 2232 which is a sydney suberb.
The first number denotes the state.
I would guess TomTom would not support this four digit stuff. |
