Hi,
The way i thought about it was that if i was travelling through a short tunnel, and the gps lost signal and still showed the screen then if im travelling at 60mph when signal lost, it roughly knows how meters to allow.
so if you are travelling through a short tunnel, and the signal goes, by the time you reach the other end, you notice no difference because of the distance it allowed after signal loss.
I think it will only cut off after exceeding the distance calculated, the only real way to test this would be to drive into a tunnel and stop after signal goes (dangerous etc :-)), this way if the cursor is still moving onwards on screen then you know it is running purely via TTN, and nothing to do with gps position etc, afterall you have no sats and its greyed out etc.
I travelled through france recently and believe me they have some long tunnels, and it suprised me how far i got into them without any sat`s showing, before the map screen went off, so i think its a distance thing from sig cut off
Well I think MobileData are trying to make a HUGE profit there.
TomTom's Euro to pound conversion is a proper one and not like the dollar to pound conversion.
TomTom sell the GB maps for 169 Euro's, which works out to around £112 (most companies are selling it for £115), so I would expect TomTom Go to follow the same suit, so 799 Euro's equates to £532.55.
