Palm software only solution

It's great to see more map software becoming available on the Palm platforms but most seem to be proceeding down the s/w and h/w bundle route...

As a T3 and Garmin GPS owner already is there no software only solution that I can use with this setup??

As mentioned, NavMan and TomTom seem to only come as packaged with hardware.

There really is a need for a comparitive review of all these Palm GPS products; its quite a pricey outlay to choose the wrong one. I went for TomTom and am not too sure about it yet... it only seems to work after a palm soft reset?

Thanks pt9.. Now if you two could update your signature we could give more targeted advice. Mapsonic and Digi-Map only cover Europe, Mapopolis covers both North America and Europe.

Oops, yeah, see what you mean. I kinda assumed it was UK as the site does use a co.uk domain.

that's just one of the domains we map to. the main domain is pocketgpsworld.com

We started out with www.pockegps.co.uk as it was the best way to describe the site, but as the site has evolved over the past 18 months we've moved it to a more generic neutral .com and renamed the site www.pocketgpsworld.com

Thanks for that - I'll update my bookmark. The site still has a very much "UK" feel to it, with the (review) prices all quoted in GBP and mostly UK adverts. Which is great. :D
