no product identification code for ViaMichelin x970t

hi all,

i have just been given a x970t by my mum as she has a new gps. now being my first gps i think it's great, but i do have one little problem. i have the box it came in with all the stuff apart from the dvd-rom disk which has the product code on it. mum says she never used the disk and now cant find it!
i have phoned their help line in france and the nice person there said i need the disk end of chat.

anyone out there think you can help me please!!

Hi and welcome.

You need the DVD to 'activate' the device as far as I remember.

Best ask your Mum again, like the support people said "No disk, end of chat"
