Very Happy Hi can any body help me, on my tomtom 6 western europe map my POI,s have
Police stations 177miles away
casinos 176 miles
concert hall 177 miles
and other POI,s miles away from my house how can i remove these POI,s they are the ones installed with tt6 not the ones from this site. Tried change pref. manage POI,s. delete POI. and delete POI category in menu but they wont show up to remove.

The pre-installed POIs are 'built-in' and cannot easily be removed.

The TT Pois are handled different to custom POIs. They are in a File called poi.dat.

To mess around with that file is too complicated, and also against the EULA.

It depends which Map you have but the same Topic is mentioned Here, and the 3rd Post has a Link which might help you.

TT refer both to their own POIs and any you add yourself by the same name.
It was confusing that you had to remember you could edit/delete your own POIs but not theirs.

But now, with the launch of 'MapShare' you CAN edit or delete theirs too (if you have a PNA with compatible maps and software).

Typically, you do this in two completely different ways, using two different menus, but they still refer to them both as "POIs", making it even MORE confusing.
