I have a delima here.

Having aquired a Stella I having considerable difficulty in making it work with Memory map V:4.00.

Has anyone any i dea how to set this product up because the manual is hopeless and O2 much the same.

In addition i cannot get TomTom V:5.0 to install and TomTom do not appear to understand why this cannotm be done.

Is it likely that I will neet TT 6.0 to run on this product?

Does anyone know if the Stella works with any GPS software?

For Memory Map start by selecting "Other NMEA" I think the GPS is on COM5 on that PDA but I might be wrong, Baud speed is either 4800 or 9600 - do not mess around with the seperate GPS applet which is in the settings menu, this is best left alone to be honest.
TTN5 should install to the unit without a problem, how are you trying to put it on the device? is it a pre-installed SD card or CD install from the PC? - I would look at trying to install it using the CAB file method - Mike

Richard, as per your post on this subject here, if the 'TTN5' you refer to is TomTom Mobile 5 then it won't install. It is intended for Smartphones, your Stellar is a PocketPC Phone Edition which is a different device, confusing I know but 'Smartphones' lack a touch screen hence the differentiation.

I also replied in the post linked above that the settings you need for Memory-Map are:

For Memory-Map you should try COM 4 and Baud rate of 4800. IIRC the GPS Type for Memory-Map should be Other/NMEA.
