X960 NE Pc connection fault just charging

When I connect the Unit up to my pc it just comes up with the little spark through the battery and doesn't connect to the pc. Usually it does a shrill little beep and the screen goes white with a transfer pic on screen. I've check device manager and it's there but Content manager won't start as it says the unit isn't connected. Unit is working fine but can't get updates now.

Is ActiveSync set to accept USB connections?

Reinstalled Active sync 4.5 and it's all ok now.
