just brought this the other day for £140 which i thought is good price.
Do you just get traffic updates when you are driving a planed route or will it still tell you of traffic problems when you are not using a planned route..
Also the other day it said it was updating something to do with traffic and the green light stayed on.Does this mean the traffic is working ok...or do i have to scan it somehow to find a traffic station to lock on.
many thanks Very Happy

If you have no route planned i believe you still get warnings of problems ahead.

I assume you are talking about the second green light. The first one is a power indicator. The second is a status light. Once green it'll download data automatically. It also finds the stations automatically too...

thanks very much for the reply. The traffic report worked well but i found the system had a mind of its own sending me everywhere except for the most logical route. After messing around with every setting possible,it still liked to take me on B roads if it could get away with it.The last straw was the other day when it wanted me to do a u turn even though i had u turns turned off and it kept saying make a u turn till i got to the very last road i was going into.
I had a tomtom v2 bfore this and it never let me down, but with the garmin i only felt 50% sure it was goig to get me there,so i took it back to the shop and managed to get it swaped for a tomtom v3 which at the moment seems very good, nice and compact and the traffic works great too.
