New Variable Speed limit on M20 J4 to J7

Guys,

If this is already known, apologies I did try to look first.

For those that travel along the M20 between J4 and J7 there will be a new Variable speed limit in place from Autumn 2008. They have already installed the overhead gantry GATSO's and are currently within a testing phase "To provide road users with an opportunity to use and understand the benefits of the Controlled Motorway system" !!

Email below from the Highways Agency after I enquired as to what they were up to :-)

Thanks Gav, perhaps you can get the camera locations logged for inclusion? I was going to mention the lifetime sub but see you have one already!

If I pop that way, I will use my garmin to obtain the GPS co-ordinates

drove along the M20 today and got a gatso@70 warning at the location of one of these new cameras. Although they are not operational till the autumn should they not be on the database as variables?

They should be but if they're not yet operational they shouldn't be in the public release at all yet?

This is a new system called HADECS by Peek traffic

Don't think it is live, but I think it is correct to be in the DB.

when they say not active, i think i may have been flashed on the m20 today, do we know if the standard speed cameras are active?
