Ah ha - no, it's a reversible camera...there are sensors and road markings on both carriageways
...so it can face either direction, but only one carriageway at a time
...road markings indicate that it can be used as a front-facing OR rear-facing camera, but not at the same time
BUT, it is a Truvelo camera, so the Truvelo sensors and markings may be genuine whilst the Gatso markings may be dummy ones - although it is left in position as a Gatso (rear-facing) for considerable periods of time, so I wouldn't be surprised if all road markings are genuine
Is that any clearer? _________________ Andy

Andy, I've just double checked on the way home and it is definitely a Truvelo camera with the 2 round holes, on a blue post with TRUVELO written on it.
Road markings are definitely for both Gatso and Truvelo cameras
Sensors are definitely in the road for Truvelo cameras
If you want more information, I'll do my best to clarify further or perhaps take a photo from a nearby footbridge. _________________ Andy

Some of you might notice a number of posts have been pulled from this thread in an attempt to clean it up - pack in the mud slinging and back bites its not on - this applies across the board - the pulled threads are still around in the Off Topic playground - thank you - Mike |

Understood, but surely the same forum rules on etiquette also apply to the off topic area, so I'd expected them just to have been deleted _________________ Andy
