How does everyone mount their bluetooth GPS module to the interior of the car?

My teletype unit came with a 3M magnet which I installed on the windshield behind the rear view mirror but the magnet would not hold it at that angle. I am afraid to put it on the dashboard.

My next idea was velcro and I am heading out in a few to see if that can stay intact without the unit falling off. It survived the garage test so far. Again this is affixed to the windshield.

what's so bad about the dashboard? Take your velcro idea and find a nice place on the dash, where the GPS has a good sky view, and where it (or it's mirror) doesn't disturb your view.

If you don't like that, how about the back part of the car?

Do you have a sunroof?
The reason I ask is I place my Navman 4410 (4400) receiver in the centre console where it happily keeps a 4-7 satellite lock (variable).

I am presuming that the signals are coming through the sunroof, technically however, the receiver does not have a clear view of the sky but it works!
