Problem getting a GPS fix on GO 910

Does the GPS siganal from the satelites ever fail. My TomTom 910 had a spell today when it could not find or lock onto any signals. I tried a couple of reboots but in the end had to connect it to TomTom Home and allow it download the updates including the GPS fixes. Just a conicident?

It also lost its ability to recognise it was daylight. Could it be that the processor was working extra hard trying to get a fix.

It is now attached to my office window with my spare doc and working OK. Strange!

Failing to get a lock can be down to several things. If your unit has been off for a long time then locating the Satellites can take time or you could have been in a bad signal area..
As for switching from day and night view on the 910 this only works if it is on the dock. I think there was one firmware update that messed this up as I know it has on my 920

No it doesn't. Possibly just some corrupted data.
