|
|
I have the Nuvi 300T and have the speed cameras added via Ash`s software.
When I have the Nuvi MP3 player running it skips to the next track everytime I get a speed camera sound/announcement has anyone suffered this problem and if so what was the remedy?
regards

I have seen it mentioned a few times here and it seems to occur across the range. It does seem to be a firmware specific bug.

I can't see anything mentioned on the 300 Update Page Do you know what firmware version you have? |

Thanks for getting back to me... So I take it if I convert the mp3 voice files from Ash`s camera alerts to .wav format this should solve the problem... I will give it a try..
Thanks again... I will update |

Technically yes. Practically, sadly no.
Garmin only released a Beta version of POILoader that supported wav files. wav support never made to it to a release version IIRC. |

Does the poi loader program compress/pack all the poi files together or can they be dragged and dropped to to the Nuvi? |

POILoader packs the files into one files called POI.GPI and then copies it over.
If your unit / firmware has the bug i don't think there's anyway around it unless you use the wav files with the POILoader Beta. |

You can download it from Garmin here
wav support was introduced with Beta 2.4.0.0 and i think it was still in 2.4.0.1 but never made it to a final release. |
