Greetings all, new member here, been with Garmin units for a number of years (GPS38, II, III, III+ and V) but I do think they are milking the UK/Europe sales cow just a little too much when compared to their US prices so I'm jumping ship!

I was about to purchase Navigator 2 (for PalmT3) when I read version 3 is just around the corner!

So my question is: Do TomTom offer free upgrades to recent purchasers much the same way as Garmin do when a new version is made available?

Should I go ahead or wait?

go ahead. I f you buy now the upgrade will be free. Just hurry - it doesn't look like V2 will be on offer much longer

It's also an idea to clarify that V2 has only just come out on the Palm, I doubt that TomTom will release a V3 this quickly, but at some point the two versions will probably level out to the same version number.
