You can submit a removal request in the yellow form on this page. Just make sure you change the action to "Remove Existing Camera" |

In which case you need to download the latest database and overwrite the files that you are using with the latest ones. You should be doing that every 2 weeks or so.
To be informed whenever a new version is released, got to this topic:

If i read the thread correctly you are using a Nuvi?
If so, just use POILoader to load the new database and it'll delete the old one for you.
However if you have other POIs for fuel etc then you need to make sure you load those too. POILoader wipes out all third party POIs (including the Safety Cameras) before you load the next lot. If you haven't already done so, make a folder on your Mac called My POIs, put all your POIs in it including the safety cameras and upload them using POILoader.
Each month download the same version of the database as before and extract it into the POI folder, overwriting the old files in the My POIs folder. Then upload ALL your POIs using POILoader. |

This subject crops up time and again.
Might it be worth adding a sticky for downloading the database and using StuffitExpander to unzip it for installation?
I've been using Mac since StuffitExpander was included in Mac OS and have 'grown up' with it. However, it appears that newcomers to Mac (where StuffitExpander is no longer included in Mac OS X) may not be aware of this application and thus encounter difficulties with the PGPSW database. _________________ Andy

i've added some code to the download area now so that if you are a mac user then you should have a brief description of how to exract the files on a mac.
can people test it please?! i can confirm that it is NOT shown on windows but don't have a mac to test if it shows when it should! |

I've just tried it on an older Mac with 10.4 and Safari 2.0 and it gave a 'decompression failed' error.
I guess that Darren might be using 10.5 and Safari 3 (or later)...I'll try installing 10.5 onto this lovely machine and see if this overcomes the problem and I'll let you know, so it might give a clue _________________ Andy

It doesn't change this issue, just alerts Mac users that they need Stuffit. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yes I get the "Numpty of the Week" award
I realised my mistake as soon as I started the installation of 10.5
Anyway, I've done a little research and can confirm that it works with:
OS 10.5 and Safari 3.0
OS 10.4 and Safari 2.0
OS 10.3 and Safari 1.1
I haven't gone to the trouble of installing Firefox several times, but Darren has tested Firefox and if Safari works with these versions of Mac OS, it's probably safe to assume that Firefox will also work.
Hopefully, this extra info will make amends for my numptyness _________________ Andy
