Reset tom Tom 510

Hi

I just pruchased a Tonm Tom GO 510 (Australia). I am somewhat perplexed as why I have to push the reset button to fix various problems that I am experiencing for example out of the blue the voice on navigating just disappeared, I tried to actively go into the menu and reset it with no luck. I had to switch of the unit, remove SD Card and press the reset button and then switch back on, Voice returned. It has also happened to me on Bluetooth where it seems to loose the connection ( Cellphone)and the only way I can get it to work is to go through the same process. Is this a common problem with the 510 or is there a long term fix??

What version of software are you running? (check by tapping the signal strength bars and the version number is in a small box on the following page (tap that box to get a further page of info about lots more).

We are up to v7.162 (at least) for the Go510, and updating might be an easier and quicker way of curing problems than trying to work them out.
You can update only by using TomTom's 'Home' utility, which you can get from HERE

Thanks for the info. As a matter of fact after I posted that Question I in deed upgraded to the new version through the Tom Tom site so I will see what happens from now on.
