I have just installed CoPilot 7 on my HP 4700. At first all was ok and it picked up my CF card slot mounted GPS receiver all fully automatically and showed my home position.

When I went back to it a bit later I got an error message saying it could not read the files from the SD card. After a lot of investigation it seems the one file on the SD Card /copilot/eu/data directory is corrupt. All the other files have a date of 26/7/07 whereas the file 00000000.CGD is dated with yesterday's date - the date it was installed.

I have contacted CoPilot support to explain the situation and ask for a new copy of the file but how long it will take them to respond I do not know. If anyone feels like sending me a copy of the file so that I can see if that is the problem, my email address is h5djr@ntlworld.com

Thanks, Dave R

00000000.CGD is 76.1MB (on mine) so I doubt that anyone will forward it you.

Alk are usually pretty good at responding so hopefully you won't be waiting too long.

That's interesting, because it's only showing as 10Mb on my card. That could well be the problem.

Well I waited a week and heard nothing so in the end I telephoned. The chap did manage to sort out for me to dowload a new copy of the files.

Having now used it for a few days, I think I still prefer Destinator, so I've ordered and loaded an upgrade to Destinator 7.
