Nuvi 250 - what is the latest version of maps then as...

... I've run the Garmin map updater and it says that i'm up to date and looking on the 'buy' section of garmin maps it only lists version 9 as an up to date map to buy which is what i currently have now but i've heard on here talk of 2008 maps.

How do get these latest maps then as I cannot find where to download them / buy them.

The 2008 maps have been on some units bought for the last few weeks or so. It looks as if you may have bought 'old' stock.

The 2008 mapping will be released to us V9 users soon (Feb/March?). I suggest you hold on to your product receipt and approach GARMIN for a FREE upgrade.

Alternatively you could go back to your supplier and see if they have a later unit with 2008 on.
