Does any one know how, if possible, how to type in spoken warnings using a PC. I have tried, but i do not get the option to do so. The reason I would like to do this, is it would be much quicker than typing each camera warning directly on the 920 |

In that case unless anybody knows of a 3rd party site that could do it (Dont hold your breath) i am afraid you will have to do it the origional way that TomTom has stated. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Not possible, the TTS system has never worked when using TomTom Home, you can only enter these spoken text strings on the device directly - Mike |

I think it is something to do with the licensing of the TextToSpeech engine from Loquendo.
My guess is that TT are only licensed to use it on specific hardware, not on a PC emulation.
In the same way, TT have to pay a licence to use the mp3 decoder from Fraunhofer, (These licences made Fraunhofer IIS about €100,000,000 in revenue in 2005). You'll find the mp3 player doesn't work in the Home Emulator either. |
