Hi all,

Since the 2215 BT manager keeps on loosing connection with all sorts of GPS receivers , I tried installing the following free software:
http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=1&jid=7289E5975EF61FE88875F2AE35171EC7&platformId=2&productType=2&catalog=0§ionId=0&productId=96903.

This bypasses the BT manager.

I installed it and got rid of the annoying dissconnections, it works perfect now!

I recommend those who still suffer from that phenomena to try it, seems worth it.

Or use this link http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productId=96903

Be aware that this mod works only on PPC2203 PC's that use the Widcomm BT Stack. There are also implications if you have multiple applications that may require access to BT services.

Just tried it once again-

with BT GPS there is autodetection and thats great.

With my laptop- I connect to my laptop through the BT manager as I used to do and that seems to work just fine.

I'm not suggesting it won't work for you, just that in some circumstances bypassing the Bluetooth Explorer will or may cause issues Smile

It seems that after installing the software it creates number of BT tweeks accordiing to the existing BT cconnections you configured on your BT Manager. In that case, in order to avoid a mismatch of detecting devices all you have to do is configure only one of the tweeks to autodetect and the rest will be connected manually through the BT Manager.
