Hi,
Ihave had a palm tungtsten e and the kirrio gps bundle with mapsonic for a couple of weeks now and I am happy so far with the way it performs. I have been reading the posts re: the tomtom patch and the ability to load poi's. Is it really worth me buying the cd version of tomtom for this? I only use the sat-nav for leisure. Is tomtom a great deal better than mapsonic.
Thanks for any help

Cheers
Ray

TomTom Navigator for PalmOS is only compatible with the Palm T3. It will not run on a Tugsten E.

Runs perfectly on my Sony Clie TH-55. Worth a try.

Interesting, it certainly won't run on a T2 which is identical in terms of hardware except for the 320 x 480 screen.

Looking at the specs for the TH-55 it has a relatively slow processor so perhaps TomTom have coded the PalMOS version such that it will only work with units supporting the 320 x 480 display format?

Does TT run in Landscape on the TH-55?

And in answer to the OP's question, I still doubt it will run on the Tungesten E especially as it won't run on the T2, its more powerful brother and it would be an expensive exercise to find out!

Clie TH55 generally does not support lanscape mode, certainly not for Tomtom

i emailed tom tom re compatability with the T2. the reply doesnt make sense but here it is:

dear tomtom

is there any chance that the tomtom software might be compatible with the T2 and not just the T3 in the near future.

Dear sir,

The T2 connector is different but at this time only the T3 is compatible. the Tungsten C is compatible only with an ADDITIONAL car kit purchase.

We hope to have answered your question to your satisfaction.
With best regards,

The TomTom Customer Support Team

You are quite right, that response makes no sense at all!

TomTom Navigator Palm also won't physically run on a T2, but it will on a T3.
