Hello,

This is my first visit in this forum so I hope I am on the correct page for my query.
My partner and I have recently purchased a new, Tom Tom GO 520.

But the time on the clock is not set at the correct time ,and he cannot find any way to re-set it to our correct UK time,we have looked around the help pages in the tom tom support pages but find nothing at all to do with how to re-set the time . Any advice on how to do this would be greatly appreciated

If the time is just wrong then it'll correct itself when it gets a good signal.

If you can be more specific in how the time is "wrong" then we can help further.

Also see the bottom of Page 63 of the manual 8.5mb PDF Download

Set clock

Tap this button to select the type of clock that is shown and set the time.
The easiest way to set the time is by tapping the Sync button. Your GO will
then take the time from GPS information.
For more information about GPS, see Global Positioning System (GPS)
(88).

Note: After using Sync to set the time, you may have to adjust the hours
depending on your time zone. Your GO works out your time zone and
always keeps the time correct using GPS information.
You can only use Sync if you have GPS reception, so you cannot set the
clock in this way when you are indoors.

Removed my comments about selecting Time Zone.

I suggest taking it outside with a good clear view of the sky for a while.

Setting the time should be easy in the menus...

For me "Set Clock" is on page 8 of 8 of the "Change Preferences" menu.
If you've only got 3 pages of preferences then you must have "show fewer menu options set, which is on page 3 (but when I just tried it, "set clock" is there on page 3 too!)
It asks whether you want the time displayed as 12 or 24 hour format and then goes to a setting page with up/down arrows for each digit.

There is also a "sync" button to get the exact time from the satellites, but that will only set the minutes (to allow for time zones/summer time etc. I guess?)
