Got my new GO 720 today. (This was actually the third one as the previous 2 had the faulty mic problem). I connected it to my pc and Home offered me various updates. I chose the application and the UK safety cameras. It reported that all was downloaded and installed ok. I disconnected properly using "Device/Disconnect" but when I started it up I got the dreaded flashing red circle with white cross. I connected to the pc again and it again offered to update the software which it proceded to download and install again but it still wouldn't start again afterwards. This seems to happen every time I connect to the pc - it automatically looks for updates and offers me the software again.

If I select "Show Contents" and look at the application it says "No desription available, Version 0, Size 10.6 MB

This doesn't look right. It seems either the file I'm downloading is corrupt or it just isn't installing properly.

I did make a backup before updating but I was hoping the update would cure a bluetooth connection problem with my LG800 phone.

Any suggestions?

TIA

John

I've now got it to start. Saw a similar post where TomTom said to delete all loose files in the home directory leaving the folders intact and then to do a backup with Home. This worked for me but I seem to have lost the opening splash screen. I suspect I can just copy it back from a previous backup.
