Hi All,

Sorry if this is a daft question.

When approaching a speed camera, the Speed Camera Icon is displayed, the camera alert sounds, but it does not display the camera speed eg 30MPH

I have run through my menus, but l cant find where it states 'display camera speed'.... l'm pretty sure, l had this setup before.

So, if you can point me in the right direction, that would be very much appreciated

thanks

I assume you are using the Pocket GPS World Speed Camera database? - if so I would remove the current camera files from your device, download and install the Speed Zoned database version and set that up, this one will offer you the type of camera and the speed. If you also use the spoken alert file packs from THIS Page the device will also tell verbally the type of camera and associated speed - Mike

Hi Mike,

thanks for your response

I have loaded the single consolidated file from the speed camera database. But kept the other old ones as well...

I will have to look into the Speed Zoned database.

I assume l have downloaded the wrong file then from the wrong database. I thought there would be an easy way of displaying the camera speed, when approaching a camera

cheers,

The data is identical for each of the different downloads, the only bit that differs is how the file set is split up

Single File - All camera types and speed in a single POI file.

Consolidated by Type - Cameras are supplied in a file for EACH type of camera

Speed Zoned - The most comprehensive, the data is split up into individual files where each file will contain a single camera type at a specific speed.

It does take a little longer to set up the speed zoned warnings due to the quantity of files, but it is well worth the extra little bit of effort - Mike

Just to add to mikes comment, even tho the zoned set take longer to set up initially they dont need altering everytime you update, so in the long run they are possibly the best.
