power but not charging on tom tom one

I've got a tomtomone V1, which shows the green power light constantly when plugged in to the car charger, but only shows as charging intermittently (even when the battery low warning is flashing). Can't work out why it's not charging when it has power - anyone got any ideas?

Will it charge from the Mains Power?

When there is no external Power Source, does the Green Light come on if you hold the ON Button in?

If the first is Yes, then there could be a problem with your CLA, or it's not making good contact with the Car Socket. Can you try/borrow another.

If the second is Yes, then you have a problem with the ONE.
