New 920 user here. Happy so far.
Question 1 Can I load mp3 files to a SD card and play them through the TT 920 music menu? From what I see I can load them to the internal memory or play them through a IPod with an additional cable. I think I could see jpeg files?

Question 2 The screen looks very nice with pictures. Is there any downloadable software that would be simpler to a palm pilot such as games or small databases. It seems a waste to only use it when you are on the move or planing to be.

Thanks,

RodIrons TT920

Yes, you can load mp3 files and photos to an SD card.

You need to create folders on that card called:

mp3

photos

LOWER case is necessary.

I found a video application that converts movie files to a format and then plays them on the 920.

Frankly, they don't appear to be all that friendly in their forum but the software works fairly well.

Thanks F2.
In looking around I found that it would only work if I did the transfer with the card in the TT and not in a card reader. Thanks for your response.

Very Happy

Well, in that case the mp3's I'm listening to are not there! Rolling Eyes

In other words, most of the ones on my SD card and that I've been listening to have been moved to the card using a reader.

Just make sure that the directory is in lower case. Or, now that you have it created, you should be able to copy/move using a reader. But then again, it probably works just as fast using the 920 as the "reader."

F2,

Well after the first time that I transfered them over through the TT and it worked I thought that was the only way it would work so that is how I did to the second time. I went down to Costco and picked up a 4 gig card and filled up half with music and I not sure what I will do with the rest.

Thanks for help

Well, I am hoping to use a lot of the music on longer road trips. Clearly, might be just as easily use mp3-cd's in my car audio but this might be less jumbling of disks.

interesting topic, i will be doing the same shortly.

Out of interest are you using the FM transmitter to play the music via the car speakers, and if so is the quality ok?
