TomTom One v3 or XL. Need help deciding.

Hi all.

Im looking to buy a new TomTom in the next day or so to upgrade from my GO classic. Im deciding between the One V3 and the XL.

Can someone tell me which is better and why? I know the XL has a bigger screen but thats all I know. Also are there any plans to release a new version of these 2 any time soon (like a V4 or a XL V2). Im always buying something only to see a newer and better one released a few weeks later.

Everyones help is most appreciated.

I've not changed my mind:

Definitely go for the One XL.
The One 3rd edition (I assume that's what you mean, the "v3" was actually one of the previous "New Edition" models) has been deliberately "crippled". Several menu items like "Manage POIs" and "Itinerary planning" have been left out, as has ANY Bluetooth capability.

Ive posted this question on a few sites as I want to make sure I make the right choice. I thought the XL was better just by looking at the price. Why make a lower spec model more expensive but then I thought maybe the XL was going to be replaced soon hence the cheap price.

I'd expect the ONE XL to be dropped and the model line up to be ONE and the x20's but as Andy has said, the ONE XL would be my choice of the tow you have mentioned not least because it has a wide screen.
