Like many who upgraded to Navcore 7, I've been missing the guides and contacted TomTom getting the same results as others here. In the last 10 or so days though, they have been made available on the same page as the missing HelpMe POIs. Very Happy

http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?FID=7892&Lid=1

Just download the zip file, extract all the files and copy the new helpme folder to the root of the TomTom. The icons don't look that different but they now work. Confused

Good news!

I notice they are still saying "On a small number of TomTom GO 720/520 and ONE 3rd Edition, some Help me! destinations for the UK and Ireland are missing..."

Make that all of them? Laughing

I noticed on the link that it also said it works only with the 7.05 map version. Aren't you Brits up to a 7.10, version?

Maybe it means the map must be a minimum of 7.05 level?

My One XL had Police Stations etc over 200 miles away so they should have mentioned this model as well.

I know people with v6 maps where these add-on POIs have worked fine too.

I just dropped this on my 910 and now I can't see Help at all. Confused

To be honest I did put Tripmaster back on yesterday and I couldn't swear to the Help feature being there but i'm 99% sure it was.

A reset (ping underneath) hasn't helped.

Any idea?

p.s. I'm on the most up to date versions of Home, maps and the application.

Removing Tripmaster solves it.

Any way of having both help and Tripmaster?

Remove Tripmaster. Any program that changes the menus causes the 'Help Me' option to disappear. Currently Navcore V7 doesn't support custom menus.

GerryC - thanks for letting us know.

When I complained originally they said :

"Thank you for contacting TomTom Customer Support.

We are aware of the confusion caused by the incorrect manual, and we apologise for this unfortunate situation.
We do not currently have a date for the release of the Help Files, all we know is they'll arrive via HOME automatically when available.

With Best Regards

The TomTom Customer Support Team"

So much for TomTom Home Confused

Mike, for the HelpMe function to be on your device you need to uprade it to version 7 software, put TomTom Home on the PC and give it an Internet connection. Follow the icons for check for updates etc, this will download version 7 for your unit.
For the HelpMe files see the first post in this thread - Mike

I have recently upgraded to app 7.162, on my TT500, which gives me the option of finding nearest doctor, pharmacy etc. However, the nearest ones are all in southern Ireland. Where can I get the data from for the UK. I have map UK and IE plus major roads of Europe v660.1219

You can download them here:

http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?FID=7892&Lid=1

Tomtom say they won't work with your version of the map but they are not always correct in what they say Wink
