New TMC Extension Cable ?

I'm faced with a problem and need a way to extend the connecting cable of the new TMC receiver.

I have a new Honda CRV, and a Brodit active mount, unfortunately brodit only have a clip for the centre console, which means the TMC receiver does not reach. If an extension cable is not available the screen mount appears to be the only option, is there a way to mount the brodit mount elsewhere so that the TMC can be used?

You could mount the Brodit on a gooseneck window mount (Brodit also sell these) but it kinda defeats the object I know.

I had a similar issue on my install with the cable trailing ip the dash. However the Carcomm cradle I have just reviewed comes with a 90cm TMC pig-tail built-in. That solved the problem for me.

The connector used by TomTom appears to be non-standard and so extensions are unlikely.
