Delete Preinstalled POI

I have a TomTom One v1 and is it possible to delete the preinstalled POI by TomTom?

Whilst it can be done it is not a simple procedure and I would not advise it. The built-in POIs were not intended to be removed and all reside in a single file called POI.dat.

If you search around through the forums, you'll find that there is a way to decompile the POI.dat file, read it and remove what you don't want-add new stuff, then recompile it - can't remember where I saw it, but it IS possible to do!
