Right on both counts, as usual, Dennis!

Unconventional numbering systems, like 1-50 consecutively on the left and 51-100 consecutively on the right might wreak havoc).

I hadn't noticed that. Embarassed But I tend to listen to the instructions rather than look at the screen, and the i3 tells me "Arriving at destination on right" or ". . . on left", and it's pretty well correct most of the time.

Oh dear, I have neither a cat nor a dog. Sad Perhaps I should get one to help visitors with a TomTom find my house!

Page 48 of the manual i think you'll find. Obviously you are violating the T&C of your TT device by not operating a pet, or pet type animal in your domicile so I'd get one soon.

Dennis can just use the gravitational pull of his large collection of knackered sat navs but he MUST give them names........ (as if he hadn't already)

edit: mis-spronted sam worms.

It's even worse than I thought! Not only do I not have the obligatory pet, I seem to have the wrong manual too! Page 48 in mine is all about TMC! Stop it!

I'll phone TomTom Customer Support and ask them to send me a copy of the correct manual, and the precise details of the pet requirements. I wonder if a virtual one would satisfy the T&Cs. After all, they expect their customers to be satisfied with virtually no support! Evil or Very Mad

TMC = The Monkey Cage.

Or are you trying to tell me that Sat nav are being sold with some *magic* system that can predict future travel conditions and route arouind them in some *Harry Potter* style? I find that very hard to believe. I don't even think a system like that would work very well in the UK. If at all.

Well, I've heard rumours that something called TMC is supposed to warn you of traffic jams and divert you around them.

I don't believe in magic, especially the black variety, but I haven't tried using this TMC thingy, just in case. Shocked On Fire

How can a monkey cage warn you about traffic jams? I think we're being wound up again Anita.

Anyway, I've got fish in the pond - a couple of yeller uns, a couple of orange uns, a few red an yeller uns and a few red uns. Well, I did have last time I could see through the water to them. And at least one toad. And I did have a dead mouse in there too once. And a hawk of some sort once pecked a pigeon to bits next to the pond. And loadsa cats come and desecrate the place. And next door's huge dog does huge desecrations too. Do these meet the T&C?

I think we are, Dennis, but if it amuses their juvenile minds let them do it. We're man and woman enough to take it. Rolling Eyes

Lutz must be laughing his socks off at us. He drops one small post here and we all fall about getting confused and off topic with it. Let's hope he sticks to his word in future - I am a bear of little brain.

AND I've only got TWO satnavs (so OK, I went to look at the new Panasonic one today, but I didn't buy one (probably because they didn't have one to look at or buy). So I had to buy a printer instead - back up to four now. Razz

BUT I did really like xda's xda orbit when I saw it on Saturday at the super megga pgpsw pre-Christmas get together.

Yes, but I expect yours works. This one may be $10 cheaper, but that's because it has a Nuvi screen image pasted over the working bit. (Note - £70 is approximately the $149 price you paid).

But the dollar price quoted is $139.99.

Kar98 wrote:

It's only $9 difference. Not worth worrying about, is it!

Oooh yes it is! My dear old granny used to say "Look after the Dollars and the Cents will look after themselves". (Anita do Americans have a sense of humour? Do I need to explain this?)

Absolutely not. I also bought three 25 count spindles with DVD+DL blanks for $30 incl. tax (£14.66) each Smile And a 8GB SD card for $69.99 (~£33). So those 10 bucks are absolutely not worth worrying over Smile
