It's all getting too confusing for me and when I first saw this thread, I thought it would be a simple answer, like "become a white van man" or something to that affect Embarassed

Work is a four letter word Wink

If at first you don't succeed, destroy the evidence.

The light at the end of the tunnel is the headlight of an oncoming train.

On Dennis' favourite subject:

I've been offered eight legs of venison for £100

Is that two deer?? Rolling Eyes

Blimey! I go out to drive a few hundred miles round the south and come home to find my vain being taken by name. Even Anita (y'know, the lucky girlie?), complete with a rather nice Christmas Avatar, is having a go.

For those who care, 720 #7 did the handsfree bleating noise tonight. I don't know what to do. Confused

Of course we care, Dennis. If we didn't we wouldn't be taking your vain by name!

Going by your previous experience why not take it back - as long as you know where you got that one from. They'll probably replace it and give you your money back. Wink

Well, Anita, it's a Halfords one - I think it's the fourth one from them, or it may just be the third with a Nuvi in between. I'm beginning to feel embarassed by them. I wasn't using this one for hands free until Vera told me #6 was echoing, so I swapped them round to see if I echoed with #7 and apparently I didn't, so I kept it going, then it went and did the bleating. Evil or Very Mad

As you know, Dennis, I don't use the handsfree feature on my 720, but I'm still concerned about it because I've bought my son and his fiancee a 520 between them for Xmas and their birthdays (both in January). He has a 500 at the moment, and uses the handsfree a lot, so he won't be happy if it doesn't work as well on the 520. But Catherine might be happy, as she'll get to use the new 520 instead of the old 500 if he doesn't like it!

Note to self. Don't let Dennis get his hands on my working 720 on Saturday. Laughing

Seriously Dennis I had the bleating on mine once only.

Was travelling to Portsmouth to pick up my niece and 2 friends from a night out. TomTom navigating but also playing MP3's from the SD Card via the FM transmitter to the in-car audio. My niece called, the Go took the call on hands free, after a minute or so the Go started bleating, navigation and MP3 froze.
Stopped, switched it off, used the paper clip reset tool, restarted it and it was fine, never had it since and hands free works fine.

I put it down to overload, the go being asked to do to much at the same time.
