has anyone else noticed that the power on button has to be depressed for considerably longer than prior to the update.

i did do a search on the forum but couldn't find any other threads.

is there any work around for this at all?

This change is intentional and a welcome one, it prevents inadvertant switch ons which flatten the battery when you are carrying the device in a pocket or bag. The two second press is something you will soon get used to - Mike

Since I've up-dated my One (V2) and put the latest western europe map on a larger sd card, it will not switch on! I have to remove the card then put it back in, then it switches on. Is there any cure for this Question

Shame it doesn't take a bit longer to turn OFF. The 720 has the button on the top at the right hand side and when I pick it up, especially when plugging or unplugging the USB lead, I instinctively grasp it on the top and bottom edges and I turn it straight off. Sad
