Using a Go Classic. Have downloaded 7.161 and have noticed that, although ASN is enabled in the menus, it no longer works. It used to light up the second I got into a tunnel. Have Tom Tom disabled it in the latest software?
Also - how does Quick Fix work. Surely it is a software solution - so why cannot that be downloaded to all devices? |

I haven't had a play with a Classic lately, but it could be due to the different GPS Chipset.
Don't know about the ASN. _________________ Richard

It was working in summer 2006, then not in May 2007 - I can't be more specific about timing because it all depends on tunnel availability! I last saw it once under a motorway bridge just before that. I came to the conclusion that it was related to new maps or software, but couldn't get any brighter than that - when I posted a question (here) I got only one reply which said he was still getting it. I haven't got the 700 any longer(sadly).
Here's my post The guy still getting it had a Classic. _________________ Dennis

Finally got an answer from TomTom on this. Yes, the latest software has disabled the ASN functionality on my Go Classic, and they are working on an update which they say should fix this and should be available in the next couple of weeks. |

Once again....
Something BASIC that hasn't been checked out before a software release.
This is not some esoteric, hidden little issue that might be missed, but a major function in a particular model.
Do their Beta test engineers not have a list of things to check?
WE could certainly do better. |
