|
|
Hi
Wanting to update my tomtom One (v2) with the new map as part of the tomtom 50% offer (hope the A1 near the M62 is corrected!). Although I use tomtom Home and find it OK I cannot update to version 2.1 as is not compatible with Apple Macintosh systems, I tried to buy the new map on SD card via the tomtom website but it looks like there is no option to request the map on a new SD card, it looks like download only! Am I missing something or is this not possible?
Thanks in advance

AFAIK there is no option to purchase either on sd or even cd. You have to download.

It's the new High Tech TomTom. It took me six and a half hours last night (including 3 hours abort because it stopped) to download my new map - 1.7Gb on 8Mb Broadband. (Plus over an hour this morning to make it all work properly). Yippee!! _________________ Dennis

The following appears on the tomtom.com maps front page
'Your preferred format: Available on SD memory card, or downloaded to your computer for immediate use'
Confusing to say the least! |

That's an old page - they've computerised now and gone "New High Tech", just that they don't want to sack the guy who does the pages in "Old New Tech". _________________ Dennis

He also empties the bins AND answers ALL the Customer support enquiries, so they can't let him go. |
