Are there a maximum number of POI categories that can be stored? If this is exceded does the TomTom just diregard the latest additions?

Many thanks!

There is a limit which varies depending upon the software version you have installed:
version 5 was generally 39
version 6 was 100
version 7 is still a little unknown, but 169 has been mentioned for some units and 300 for others.

The big problem is that when you go over the limit the device will decide which ones it won't use, it is not necessarily the last ones added that don't show up - Mike

Thanks Mike. I'm on version 7.161- the problem I'm having is that the POI (of Pubs predictably) I downloaded with apparently over 4000 items is only showing about 20 or so of them when I look in the "edit POI" section. I thought is was a bit strange that the category itself would still show. I have deleted all the European speed camera POI's for good measure but this does not seem to have made a difference...

The device will only list the nearest 24 POI to the point selected, this is normal, if you want to locate pubs further a field use the browse map function, position the cursor roughly where you need and press the cursor button (the grey four leaf clover) - then use Find nearby POI, select your pub custom POI category and it will list the ones for that area - Mike

Ahhh! That explains it. Looks like I'll just have to mark some more pubs in Scotland myself!

Many thanks
