Tap.
Browse Map
Options
Tick Points of interest and on same screen, bottom left,
POI
then you have to select all the individual cameras (tap Find, then start typing POCK - before you've finished it will show Pocketgps uk etc. If you have installed many cameras, you have to go through this selection of every single one - fortunately only the once.
Change Preferences.
Manage POI
Warn when near POI. _________________ Dennis

OK - are you SURE you have installed the Pocket GPS World camera database and not the TomTom-supplied one?
The TomTom one is managed differently, it is set up using the "Plus Services" menu.
If you can connect the Go to your PC and examine the contents of the map folder with Windows Explorer, can you see any files with names starting "PocketGPSworld..."? |

Multiply the speed of the camera by 10 to get 10 seconds warning (at that speed). e.g. for a 30mph camera, set it at 300 yards, for 70mph, set to 700 yards. Mobiles, should be set to probably twice those distances because they are looking towards you and can check at much greater distance. Just one small point - set the distance at not a 'round' hundred - remember your device probably gives you advance navigating instructions at round hundred yard distances and that will delay your warnings. _________________ Dennis

Glad you got it sorted.
For "closure" as the shrinks say, and maybe to help someone else in the same boat, how did you sort it? |
