Help - Software upgrade 7.16 - TT 300 ?

Hi

I have two tomtoms: a Go 500 and a Go 300. Both were on OS 6.52

I connected my 500 to Home, the new software os 7.16 was identified, downloaded and installed - great!

I connected the 300 to Home, and it only downloaded a phone database.

Looking on the TT site, it mentions the new 7.xx os software for every unit in existance - but not the Go 300.

Why isn't it available? the 300 is very similar to the 500 and 700, without the phone hands free useage, so has had the same software before.

Will it become available? Is it possible to download the OS package outside of home, and install it manually, like we used to before Home?

I had something similar with my TTone version1.

It wouldnt give me the ver7 update, only a ver6.?? update

But once I'd updated to ver6.?? It then gave me the option to goto ver7

They HAVE said that they will make v7 available for the 300 and Classic, but they haven't managed an official release yet.
I can't imagine there is any commercial value in deliberately withholding it from JUST the 300 and Classic owners, so I tend to believe there is a good reason. It would seem there are bigger differences than you would think.
There was quite a wait before it appeared for the other x00 models and it only appeared a week or two ago so maybe just be patient?
If you can't, some people on the forums have used an earlier version of Home to fool the server into thinking that they have a 500 for example and have installed the version intended for that. So far, it seems to be working for them.

There is no way to get it from TomTom without using Home.
