Best Maps for UK 2 Italy?? (For LapTop)

Im on TomTom /Nokia N73,Holux GPSlim, but want to use my laptop in car for car navigation from UK to Italy.

Can anyone recommend any PC maps for GPS please.

I would like seamless navigation across borders would be nice, any experiences out there?

If you really need to do it on a laptop then Autoroute 2007 with GPS Locator will do this. It retails for a tad under £90 in UK. Will give you turn-by-turn spoken directions and allow you to do route planning out of the car.

Have you thought about buying the Maps of Western Europe for your TomTom? It's only £40 for the latest maps off the TomTom site. A laptop is a bit unwieldly in a car an likely to bring you to the attention of the police if you are using it whilst driving.

Hi thanks Phil.....I have East/West Eu Maps on N73 as Backup, but I have very dark titnted windows and laptop on front seat thats folded forwarads. Makes a nice table top. Now I remember Ive got Autoroute, thats Microsoft I think??? Thanks again Ed
