Downloaded the POI database the other day and installed in my Kenwood DNX7200 Incar sat nav powered by Garmin.
The system works fine and gives speed camera warnings when necessary, but the speed limit info appears to be wrong (giving speed limits of 19mph instead of 30mph).
Is the info on the Database correct, and does anyone else have this sort of problem?
Can anyone help?
Thanks

I'm not a Garmin person, so can't give you the definitive solution, but this is a very regular question, to which the answer seems to be you have not changed the units from Kilometers to Miles at some stage in the process. Do it again and watch for somewhere to change to MPH.

DennisN is exactly correct here. The question is very common hence the sticky thread at CLICK HERE

Reload the database and make sure POILoader is set to MPH.

You're not wrong there! We could do with a "list of oft used answers for s, s, & users to point s to" ! It often takes me longer to find the "answer I know is here somewhere" than it would to re-type it.

(Andy, I suppose you already know that's an acronym for "I think I remember Andy said he has one typed ready for use").

Yeah, but I never remember where I put it!
It's always JUST quicker to type it all out again. Confused

You never thought of using the Favorites option in IE - create a folder named PGPSW and keep the pages safe in that location.
I used to do this but these days I keep a notepad document on the desktop containing pre-formatted text with links in it, a simple copy/ paste is all that is needed to drop hyper linked text straight into a post (not much use when mobile) - and I spent over an hour last night looking for something I posted a few months back Embarassed so I do appreciate the "fun" at times - Mike

I have desperately wanted to do this for months now. All it would take is a broken leg to keep me indoors for a few weeks. A spreadsheet to start off with, so I could sort into alphabetical. Then people could not read my manuals to get my own back with! The road to whatsitsname is paved with thingies.

I have got a list of "useful threads" in my Bookmarks/Favourites along with a list of often needed links (TomTom manuals,Oldboy's site, POIEdit, Audacity, that sort of thing).
But I never quite have the right text for that person's precise situation, so end up re-typing most of what I copied anyway!

As for the Notepad doc, I actually have a link to one in the "quickstart" tray (I think it's called that), next to the "Start" button (you can just drag a shortcut into it).
That means I can access it without moving any windows at all.
I keep things like my email address, the URL of my homepage, and other bits and pieces in there ready for quick copy-and-paste. It also gets used as a "scratch pad", to compile quotes from several places to put into forms etc.

One of the most useful Windows tricks I've ever used.

I have 10 links there, most notably my business spreadsheet - one click to fire up whatever, beats Desktop double click any day.

Hi All

Recently bought a DNX7200 and have installed the camera POIs from this site. However they don't appear at all. I've done it in the past on a small Garmin I3 and it worked great.

Any suggestions? Which version of the database do I download? The zip file I saved had lots of CSV files and images. I loaded it to an SD card using the POI loader and then inserted the card into the DNX7200. It said it copied them across but nothing........

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
