Hi I'm a newbie on the board. I have a Navman F20 and it only seems to want to load .csv files. All speed cameras updates seem to have the .asc extension. How do I load load these onto my Navman?

Welcome to the forum, just use Windows Explorer, right click the file and select Re-Name, just change the asc to csv - ignore Windows telling you its a bad idea and job done.
Or download a set of POI files in the Garmin POI Loader format, these are allready csv file types - Mike

Have you read the instructions HERE?

Pay particular attention to Step 3.

Thanks for the help guys. I have now sorted it out by renaming the files to CSV.

For some reason I cannot use the *.* option - the software will only allow .CSV files.

Just one more question. What are the OV2 files for? If renamed to CSV the will not open in my spreadsheet - are they for downloading to the Satnav too?

The ov2 format is for TomTom products, you could convert the file to csv format by using POIEdit which is a PC based application (try looking on Google you will soon find it)
If you look at the POI download page on this site there is a drop down box for selecting the sat nav type, TomTom is set by default but you can select Garmin which will give you the csv format you require - Mike

Well that just goes to show how long it is since I used the Nuvi Laughing perhaps I should dust in down, charge it up and give it a whirl later - Mike
