TOMTOM GO 510 Free traffic trial

Hi!
I want to activate the traffic trial but do I need the mobile phone with blue tooth turned on for this to work? and does the mobile phone end up with high cost??? I am with orange and on pay monthly.

You need the phone connected to the TomTom via Bluetooth, your phone contract needs to have GPRS access available to it, you will have to phone Orange to get that bit done, it might already have "WAP" access, but you need GPRS in order for this to work.
As for cost I work on a figure of 100KB of data per hour of use, sometimes it is less, so this figure can give you an idea of cost, ten hours equals 1MB, ask Orange how much 1MB of data traffic will cost you on your current tariff - Mike

... and it is only charging you while it is actually downloading data, not the whole time you are driving.
