Hi,

The M11 has been unbuilt Shocked

I've just upgraded from a Garmin i3 to a TT One XL with GRPS traffic. Overall I like the additional functionality however twice now the M11 has disappeared from the map when I've joined it southbound from the clockwise M25.

Passenger managed to grab a piccy on the second occasion which as you can see suggests I'm in the middle of a field. TT tried to put me on nearby roads but it pretty much stayed like this till I got to the A406.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions as to the cause or how to "fix it?

Oh, and oddly enough it didn't happen when I joined from the anti-clockwise M25 (yes, I've spent a lot of time on the M25 this week!!!!).

Can you see the M11 when you view via the 'Browse Map' option? It may just have been a corrupted position report that put you away from your true location?

Yup, the M11 is there alright - in fact its part of the TT route (well once I refuse to turn off at the A121 it is). It just disappears as I round the sliproad from the clockwise M25.

I had the same this week too!

My colleague and I were driving up to Doncaster from Folkestone.

We were comparing my TomTom vs his Garmin Nui.

The Garmin kept us on road, but on the TomTom had us off road for about 5 minutes, northbound on the M11. I don't remember exactly where, but it was before Stanstead.

Strange. I frequently use this route to get to Lincoln and Nottingham using a fully updated TT1 1st edition, and have never seen the error as described.

And I worked in Cambridge two weekends ago and had no issues either, travelling from Gatwick via M23, M25 and M11 and back.

I'm off up to Rutland this evening via the same route, so will look again.

Pet hate: it's actually Stansted. Stanstead (Abbotts) is somewhere else -- near where the A414 meets the A10.

Anyway I have also seen this along this route. I think the map of where the M11 goes is a few hundred yards out along the M25-Harlow stretch. Sometimes the 'route stickiness' will attach you to the M11, but sometimes you appear to be driving in a field.

You're in good company. I once saw a sign on the M25 that said 'Stanstead' with a picture of a plane next to it. I think the residents of Stanstead Abbots would be a little upset if someone tried to land a plane in the high street.

So, I suspect, would the plane owner - the high street is pretty narrow with cars parked

If you drive through Stamford, Lincolnshire you might see the roadsign that says "Pedestrain Area".

Damn. I was there last night (a propos nothing, it's where I was born, too) and I missed out on seeing that. The Raj, for a takeaway, and Thresher's were the highpoints....
