The TT offer was just that; an offer. AFAIK it hasn't been accepted (yet). However, this is a surprising move IMO, as Garmin have always (?) used NAVTEQ data. Who's trying to buy NAVTEQ, again? Perhaps Garmin can't afford to compete with that particular bid and don't want to be beholden to whoever's trying to buy it.

It's a crazy mixed up world....
I guess the big manufacturers are now worried that they will lose their close relationship with a map provider if it got brought out and the best way around that is to buy them itself....
