TomTom 720 screen uring off

I have a problem with my 720.

It is set up to turn off the screen in between instructions which I like at night. brightness is set to 0% for night view, 100% for day view. it is also enabled to auto dim & switch to night view.

At night, the screen turns off after junction. fantastic. next junction comes and I'm blinded - screen turns on at maximum brightness in night view.

Does anybody else has this problem, or is it a faulty unit?

It auto dims fine, switches to night & day view fine.

Problem still occurs if it doesn't have the auto dim or switch to night view enabled.
