Custom POI's and Sony U51g

I have made a collection of custom POI's for my TOMTOM, I share them with people at work, most of them have tomtom or garmin, so no problem.

Someone had got a Sony U51G and I cant see how to put the Custom POI's into it, can anyone point me to some instructions please.

Also is it right you have to have the mains charger in to do anything with it when connected to a computer.
