Ihave done a pic of my PTCruiser in photoshop, but in order to save a transparent background I have to save as a GIF or PNG file.

I see all the ones here on the site are in JPG format and not as BMP files required by tomtom.

Could someone please explain how to get the image with a transparent background in the correct format for the tomtom (when it arrives).

You don't configure the transparent background, the GO does that, anything set to RBG Red Value 255.0.0 is set as transparent on the device.

We have to use .jpeg's on the forum as it will not display bitmaps but if you click them you will see they are hyperlinked to the .bmp version.

Not bad at all! It is suggested that you keep the white border as a preference, however if you have produced a picture of something white... I'm not sure a white border is still neccesary. Wink

Which means, roughly translated, "I don't speak a word of German - a big hairy sailor translated this for me - I wonder why he walked away with a smile on his evil face?"

Yes, it is difficult to find correct photos. It will be good if you try to take your own photos. Remember, you must be above the vehicle, not only behind - maybe you can stand on a wall?
