Can I put "Favourites" from Go to 700

Hi everyone..
My first post to you all is this:
I have owned an original TomTom Go (300) for several years and have quite a few "Favourites" saved onto it. I have backed up the files from the SD card onto my computer.
I have ordered an new TomTom 700 and would like to know if there is a way I can transfer the saved "Favourites" succesfully.
I went for the 700 for several reasons..
1. It seems to have very good overall ratings from users.
2. Its got "History" and so has been around long enough to have any glitches sorted or at least known about.
3. My friends 710 has frozen several times in only 2 months !
4. I located a new one at a very good price indeed with full garentee.

Welcome to the forum have a read of #12 on the FAQ page which can be found Here it explains how to transfer the favourites from vs 5 to vs 6 software, if your new 700 is running version 5 software simply copy the cfg file from the old device to the new one but re-name the file to match the existing cfg file on the 700 for it to use it, yet another "local" user to the forum Cool

I hope your new 700 was at a bargain price though as the maps will be quite out of date now when compared to the latest devices - Mike

Hi Mike,
I am very grateful for the very quick response..
I work in Blackpool... (Talbot Square) so yes you are indeed very local to me.
I am due to receive my "New 700" on Monday and I was assured that it does indeed have the latest maps on it.. (Version 6.05).
My "Bargain price" was £175.
To be honest its not the price thats an issue (I was seriously considering a 910).. Its the reliability thats No 1 for me.
My original Go never put a foot wrong and in 3 years of ownership.. I NEVER had it freeze or hit the reset switch !!
